Christmas is a time of indulgence, but sweet treats don't have to be unhealthy. Raw honey is a delicious and healthy way to sweeten many festive dishes. We like to add raw honey to dishes and drinks that are below 35°C as this preserves all the enzymes and nutrients in raw honey. Here are a few of our favourite ways to use raw honey at Christmastime:
- To sweeten festive drinks. Raw honey is the perfect sweetener for festive drinks such as mulled wine, eggnog and mulled cider.
2. To add flavour to seasonal sauces. Honey is a delicious addition to seasonal sauces such as cranberry sauce and brandy sauce.
3. To enhance cold desserts. A simple honey-sweetened cheesecake is an easy festive treat.
